In a bid to provide assistance to indigent persons who may be unable to access healthcare, and as part of the CSR initiative of Everight Diagnostic & Laboratory Services Ltd, Dr Okpara set up the Everight Healthcare Foundation in 2017, a non-profit organisation with the core aim of improving healthcare & wellbeing, by assisting vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals obtain equal access to the best healthcare in Nigeria. The foundation has provided free medical outreach programs to underserved communities and distributed relief materials and food items to thousands, particularly targeting vulnerable women and children. This was driven by his unwavering conviction that stems from strong love for humanity and his firm belief that good healthcare is meant for all, irrespective of social class. These acts of service reflect his unwavering dedication to improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
In addition to covering medical bills for over 13,000 beneficiaries, Everight Healthcare foundation was a crucial frontline stakeholder in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, through its provision of several life-saving interventions, including donations of over 100 automated hand washing machines and 500,000 KN95 face masks, etc. It also facilitated free medical screenings and vaccinations for over 4,500 individuals including women, veterans, students, and families through multiple partnerships and outreach programs across Nasarawa State and the FCT.
We co-sponsor and partner with health organisations and provide grants to support humanitarian response to emergencies and short-term interventions within our thematic areas. Eligible for application are not-for-profit organisations fully registered and operational in Nigeria and possess verifiable experience in the area for which they seek grants.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Since we began operations in 2017, we have executed over 10 projects across several states in Nigeria, including the FCT, and reached over 300,000 people. In our fight against cervical cancer, we have also carried out HPV screening for over 8,000 women from July 2020 till date.
